NACAC list is out

Not surprised to see a lot of CTCLs on the list, scrambling for applicants.

At first, I thought you had shared the link as a way to be helpful to "parents and others assisting students who have not yet completed the college admission process," but I can see from your comment that you really just wanted to sneer at schools you consider to be beneath you. DCUM is so DCUM.

Wow, you’re a jerk, OP. Hope karma comes for you with your sneering judgment and disdain for others.

There are 281 colleges and universities on this list. 14 of them, or 5%, are CTCL colleges. 30 CTCL colleges are not on it.

FFS.

OP just doesn't understand what the list is.

My Junior is considering a few of these schools, I hope this means they’ll get in next year if they apply.

How are schools like Clemson (51% acc rate) and UNCC (65% acc rate) on this list? Does that mean that they screwed up rejected too many and are now looking for new applications?

The list also includes little known colleges like Boise State, BU, Clemson, FSU, Marquette, MSU, Syracuse, OSU, Arizona, Colorado, and Oregon.

You're an a$$hole, OP.

The link is hard to read. OSU, for example, is not accepting freshman applications, just transfers. So read this carefully if you’re interested.

What is Clemson looking for? My kid with a 28 ACT and a 3.5 gpa was rejected. They may get more freshman applicants, but they’re not going to get what they’re looking for.

There are some good schools on the list. Juniata, Ohio Wesleyan University, Providence College, Presbyterian College, Quinnipiac, University of Colorado Boulder, Ursinus College, Xavier. Kinda surprising. Nice to know there are still options if anyone is still looking.

This is interesting in light of the anecdotes people are sharing about high stats kids that got rejected or WL everywhere. It seems as though a lot of students went heavy on reaches.

I’m starting to realize that all the kids are fighting for spots in the same 75 schools. None of the others are that hard to get in with average stats.
