What is going on with BRYC Girls ECNL?

Anonymous
Not trying to be snarky here... but for a club who has traditionally had strong girls teams, what happened to the program this year?
is the issue the coaching? the player pool?

Since the start of the fall season, between U13 and U17, ONE win in ecnl...

U13 0-8-1 -34
U14 0-7-2 -21
U15 1-5-2 -6
U16 0-6-2 -18
U17 0-8-0 -30
U18/19 5-2-1 +8

Does anyone have any info on when they plan to announce coaching slates and give offers, etc? It sounds like the current families have been given no information unlike most other DMV clubs.

They lost the prior TD, Mikey Welch, who made the move to VDA last year and took some of the better players.

Bernie is the only worth keeping over here on either girls or boys side.

I wouldn't be surprised if BRYC moved to ECNL-RL. If that club applied for ECNL membership today, they would get rejected based on its poor performance.

Someone's got to be last. And why are you so worried about this? It clearly doesn't affect your super-awesome superior club's status other than to give you something to brag about on social media when your kid's team beats those clubs 8-0.

Do we assume this was written by a teenage girls father? Classy!

And yet they still develop players to pursue college playing options. Scores aren’t the only things that matter. Didn’t many posters say in this forum that once ECNL starts parents don’t care about scores but only about their DC’s playing time?

On the girls side, the last two TDs have been poached with higher salaries, benefits, etc. Looks like they're in transition as teams that have done well in the past are not performing now. See what happens next season after COVID.

On the boys side...what a s show.
