Congrats to your DC! It's on my son's list as well, but I think he wants something bigger. I loved our visit and wish he would consider it. All of my friends whose kids have gone there loved it.

Congratulations! I like your kid. My DC is a junior who also would like to stay close to home and is seeking a non-competitive environment.

I've been hearing more about this school the past couple of years. Are conservatives welcome there?

Should add these are to the College of Arts and Sciences. Psychology (pre-med) and Foreign Affairs are the proposed majors though will probably change!

No, conservatives are turned away at the entrance and are sifted out by a close reading of their essay responses.

If you're looking for a welcoming university for conservatives, I'd recommend you ROLL TIDE!
