| We are moving out of state and having a hard time getting our soccer organization to respond to our emails and release DS player card. Is there anyway to go around the team red tape and do this myself? (We’re in MD) |

the Loudon hate in threads not concerning Loudon is hilarious- op is in MD. PP was correct, player cards are issued by state associations. You can play in another state with a different club because your current club only hold a Maryland player card |

Are you asking for the club to give you your player's card or for the club to release your player so he can be carded under a different team? The first is to the discretion of the club and the club would be on the hook for your player. The club doesn't have to give you the player card if it doesn't want to if you want your player to be carded under that club. For the second, the club is required to release your player as long as you are paid up. You'd then be free to have your player carded with a new club.
If you are seeking a release from the club, the club ultimately needs to be involved in the release and MSYSA will look to the club for the ok and to submit the release form. But, assuming you have completed your portion of the release form (https://www.msysa.org/assets/69/6/Player-Team_Status_Form_2020_-_REVISED_ver._A.pdf) and the club has been non-responsive, I'd send the form to registration@msysa.org, cc the club and note the club hasn't responded to you. Again, if you are paid up to the club, they have to release the card. |

| You would simply get a player card in the new state you have moved from your new club. These are not cross referenced and if the states are not even border states no reasonable association would prevent your player from getting a new card. |

| This is only necessary if you are moving to another team in MD. And actually, as long as you've fulfilled your contractual obligations to the club (i.e. paid) a club can't hold your card and prevent your child from playing somewhere else. If this is the case where you are moving from one club to another in Maryland email the MSYSA registrar to ask them how to get your child's card released. |

If they are asking then they don't know themselves. The answer is NO. This would really only be a concern for bordering States and even then who cares. There are two basic cards, US Club and USYS and neither answer to each other and a league is only affiliated with one or the other. Even in State if you left a club that plays in NCSL and uses USYS and you went across town to a team that plays in ECNL R which uses US Club you will never need your former club to release the USYS card as that card will never be needed. |

| Have you already paid in full? As previously noted above, club doesn't have to release player if there's an outstanding balance. |

Off topic to the main question but do rec players say for loudoun get player cards.
Like if I were to ask them to play in a winter league that requires player cards can I use the ones that loudoun has if they even do |
