| Considering getting one for my ten year old. Any feedback? We have AT&T but it looks like Verizon sells it- does it matter we have a different phone carrier? Thanks! |
| We bought the Ticktalk for our 8yo. I like it fine for our needs. She plays with a neighborhood friend for an hour and I can track her, call her, and can set a timer on it. The batter runs out quickly though so not sure it would last a full day if you needed it to. |

We have one and Verizon just lets you pay a monthly fee for it if they aren’t your carrier.
It’s great to have and we’ve been happy with it for many years. It’s now being used by the younger sibling. |
+1. |
Is this one through a phone provider? Monthly fees? |

Why does it have such bad reviews on Verizon? I'm interested in getting one for my almost 10 year old but these give me pause though I know a lot of people who have them and love:

| We’ve had one for both kids and liked them. |
PP here. It’s $10 a month. |
| We had it for a few years and liked it. It was $5 a month if you have verizon and $15 a month if you don't. |
Anyone have thoughts on this? Have people bought directly through Verizon or on Amazon etc? |
I just bought yesterday and it's $10/month (we dont have verizon). |
| We use them for all three of our kids and it's been really helpful. I like the limitations - they can only call and text specific contacts. I like being able to track my children when they are walking home from the school bus stop, biking to and from the playground etc. |
Where did you buy and is the service separate? |

It has the functionality we wanted, but my 11 year old hates it. It's definitely a "baby" watch, and now that he's in 6th grade and lots of kids have real phones... he really won't use it.
So I feel like at 10 it might be a little late for the gizmo, and time for a "dumb" phone or something like that instead. |
