What's Fordham like?

Wow. This might go better if you read some on your own and then post some specific questions.

Isn't this a tell me about x college thread? And aren't there about a few hundred of those?

It's a 20 minute train ride to Manhattan. That used to be a big selling point. Not sure if that's still true in the pandemic and post-pandemic era.

Fordham is a nice school with a student body similar to what you would see at the other Catholics, like Villanova or BC, although its easier to get into. The Rose Hill Campus is lovely, although the surrounding neighborhood can be tricky. I know many people who have gone there who have been very successful and made really great friends. The Business School is good and Fordham has a good network in NYC. It is fairly easy to get into Manhattan both by subway or by the Fordham run Ram Van which takes kids between the Rose Hill campus and the Lincoln Center campus. The Lincoln Center campus is largely grad students, including the Law School, and the highly regarded performing arts program, although I think they have made more of an effort to have more undergrad programs there. Its a nice school and your DC can be very happy there.

All these things...also worth noting that it is really expensive...

Best Little Italy on the east coast just down the street. The market and restaurants are amazing.

Per my cousin who teaches at the law school -- lots more undergrads at Lincoln Center campus in recent years; honors college is at Rose Hill.

It is extremely expensive and their yield is very low, probably due to the price.

This. It's a great school. Pretty diverse for a Catholic college and many wonderful programs.

Campus or outskirts or both?

Yup. DD and many of her friends applied and none of them are going there. They all really liked it and several were accepted, but it is just too expensive. If cost was not a factor DD would have definitely considered it more seriously.

The Rose Hill campus is in the Bronx, and not a nice part of the Bronx
The Lincoln Center Campus is in Manhattan
