DCI college acceptances

Anonymous
It is only DCI's second year with a graduating class and a higher than 90% college acceptance rate. No ivies, but a bunch of other great schools like: UVA (x3), Oberlin, Colby, AU, Howard, Hampton, Spelman, Morehouse, Reed, Lewis & Clark, UCs, George Mason, Drexel, Northeastern, Sarah Lawrence, Temple (x3), University of Wisconsin, University of Colorado, and more. Lots of scholarships too! Congrats to the DCI class of 2021!

I love how geographically spread out they are. I wish I could meet the kid heading to my alma mater!

This is great! I am a DCI family and I want to know who is going to my alma mater too. I would be happy as anything if my DC attended my alma mater; she would have a great college experience.

Congrats to these kids, and good luck to you!

Congrats to the kids at DCI! Amazing college acceptance rate for such a new high school program in DC.

As someone at a DCI feeder, this is so wonderful to hear. 90% is a number to be proud of.

This is encouraging, though not a single Ivy or equivalent suggests it's probably not getting much buy in from top students.

Nice list!

Actually, no. Ivy's are a crap shoot for everyone, and they will only take so many from a region.

What does higher than 90% acceptance rate mean?
Students are accepted at 9 of the 10 schools they apply to? [if true - that is unheard of this year]

Actually, there are at least two ivy admissions so far (in early decisions). The regular decisions don't come out until April. Also, I see Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins, Ga Tech, UCLA and Swarthmore and Bryn Mawr on naviance acceptances for this year.

And Bucknell, Elon, UMD, Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State, UMass and more.

This is only year 2. The list will get stronger each year. Way to go DCI.
