DD added an acceptance from St. Olaf today with $37k. Woo hoo! Choices. Happy holidays, all.

Total price is....??

COA this year is $77k, so $40k-ish? Maybe $42k with a tuition increase?

And that’s about $4k more than our best in-state options.

My kid who got in EA had APs in all 5 (I assume you mean math, science, English, history, and FL) but I don’t think it’s strictly necessary.

Do you mind sharing SAT? Macalester is one of DC's favs but will be applying RD...

Accepted Drexel with $37.5K merit

Both tonight

Oh interesting - Where did you see the Drexel merit info? In the acceptance letter itself or elsewhere?

There was a tab for financial aid and scholarships on the main screen. Took a long minute to load up but once it did it showed what was offered.

Thank goodness for this thread - I just had my daughter look at her Drexel portal and we discovered she was offered a $37k merit scholarship annually that we had completely missed!

She’s also been admitted to Pace Westchester + honors college with $37k annual, as well as Towson Honors, Temple, an Rutgers Camden. Nursing at Drexel, Rutgers, pre-nursing Temple and Towson, Health Sciences at Pace.

Still waiting for Delaware, Rutgers NB, Pitt, NYU.

Deferred at NYU.

That’s awesome. My kid is there now as a Capstone scholar and just loves the place. It’s a great amount of merit aid too. (Honors is even more than capstone!)

But:
1) the $77k doesn’t include flights, which really add up, especially for family going to help set up freshman year and fir graduation.
2) It’s St. Olaf, not UVA.
