Is this new club fielding for other grades as we'll?

To be determined. I think they are planning to field a few HS teams.

Not a great endorsement of 3D buying Fuze.

It was not a 2016 team, it was a invite only 2016-17 Mid Atlantic team last summer for a couple tournaments. That team had nothing to do with Fuze prior teams. If "they" all left to form a new club and team, that would be news to us on the team. We've heard 3 kids went back to their clubs after trying it out which is not a surprise. Nothing is for everyone. The costs are not more expensive than other local clubs and the coaching is better. The 3d Mid Atlantic team is replacing several players for the permanent team that starts playing together this fall.

I take this to be the typical Madlax and VLC parental vitriol aimed in any direction at everything else, which is silly and pathetic.

You are have no idea what you're talking about. The post is referring to the Fuze 2016 team, not the 3D 2016/2017 team formed this past summer. The coach of Fuze 2016 team has left Fuze to start his own program, and the entire team is leaving with him. Lots of those families want nothing to do with the new 3D owners.

Regarding the 3D offering in the Mid-Atlantic, it is a disaster so far. They couldn't field separate 2016 and 2017 teams in the summer and had to ask 3D kids from other states to help out the roster. They got kids from a few other local clubs to play with them who just wanted some extra play, but almost all of those kids are staying with their original teams.

3D has no traction in Maryland, so 3D is resorting to building upon the existing Fuze players and trying to poach local players. Given what is going with the Fuze 2016 team, it's not working.

That's uninformed, 3d acquiring Fuze basically meant gaining a foothold in Virginia. It is not a shock that many Fuze players and families move on after the first round of tryouts this fall to settle out teams, or that a Fuze high school team moved out to keep their team in tact. 3d is also doing Maryland teams and are doing tryouts for those for the first time this fall. A "disaster so far"? How can any new club in the area be deemed a success or not when they have not even fielded teams yet?

3d Mid Atlantic had one high school invite only team that was a combo of 2016s and 2017s. That team had several kids from other states and some kids from local teams like Madlax and VLC. Most of the kids who tried it stayed, but some went back to their old clubs. To write "almost all those kids are staying with their original teams", there was one kid who went back to VLC and one kid who went back to the Annapolis Hawks. That team team this fall added kids from Balt Crabs and Blackwolf and dropped a few kids who were not invited back or as you wrote returned to their former clubs.

Maybe it's time for VLC or Madlax parents and team moms to dial their hate toward all things not VLC or Madlax and focus more on their own declining high school programs. This is the part where someone writes, "but no, VLC/Madlax have some of the best HS teams in the country!" Give a list of the tournaments VLC or Madlax 2016s or 2017s have won since they were U-15 players. Zero. Then the part where VLC and Madlax parents say "but no, we have D1 commits!!!" Well so does FCA, Breakers, Blackwolf and the 3d Mid Atlantic Select team you tease. VLC and Madlax are unquestionably the best programs for one thing: overbearing, lunatic parents and morally bankrupt scumbag club owners.

Not sure why you lumped Madlax into that post. The person bashing your program is clearly from VLC, and likely bitter kids have left their program for 3d. Don't think the Madlax side of the house has said anything negative about 3d. In fact, I'm a Madlax parent and think it is great to have 3d in the circuit. More competition will force other programs to step up their game.

Not sure why you are so sure the poster has a kid with VLC. Nothing in the post specifies VLC. It could very well be a Madlax parent considering they have lost several kids to 3D (as well as Blackwolf, Crabs and VLC).

More importantly, why do Madlax parents bring up the fact that 1-2 VLC kids went to 3D when 3 Madlax kids went to 3D?

You all really need to get a life. You are arguing about who has the best lacrosse clubs?

What are you going to do when your kids are done with lacrosse?

Maybe b/c we know kids come and go from each program, and contrary to what you believe about madlax, it isn't as important to us whether we have the best team with the most commits. We also know that, due to early recruiting and the rise of high school teams, the high school club is quickly becoming irrelevant.

Btw, the post you commented on was about the 2016 fuze team that supposedly left. Had nothing to do with the 3d Mid-Atlantic team. Might help if you took the time to read and understand what the poster stated before you fly off the handle. Just a suggestion...

If you think the HS team is more important than the club when it comes to recruiting, you need some help.

Not sure why this thread is still live since 2010. Perhaps all of you Laxers should get some other hobbies.

Bobby Horsey to St. John's. How will that impact the program?

All of the guys running the programs have had box experience at some point. I also have grown up playing box in Baltimore (remember the Thunder - likely you don't), which is why I can tell you how wrong you newbie, wannabe lax dads are...

Hate to tell this to you, but 3D scrapped all efforts in Maryland. Couldn't get kids to come to the tryouts. And it was only a tryout for a single U11 team.

Is there any strong u11 or 2022 teams out there ? Just moved here from NC and looking for a team?
