LCPS kids are not happy

Anonymous
I am asking my students if they are happy with coming to school 4 days a week they said NO
The 4 students in Block 1 said NO.

They can't even play or have any fun in PE CLASS.
I will keep asking them and keep you guys updated.

My kid was so happy to go to school yesterday. He packed the notebooks that the teacher asked for, dressed in PJs (his teacher was having special PJ day just for the class). In February of 2019, he was telling me about how school was hard, fitting in and getting in trouble for talking, etc. And now he's so happy to be back, following the new rules.

I don't think I'd be too happy to spend more time in a classroom with a teacher focused on mommy boards.

However many of my sons friends who picked DL are not scrambling for exceptions to switch to HL. Maybe your kids just don't like you?

Are you the official spokes person for 85,000 students?

1 out of 5 in my 2nd block was happy with it.

Another student said she just can’t wake up at 6 am everyday it’s way too much for her..

My 7th grader is thrilled. This means more of her friends will be there and both of her PE days will be live and in person.

Oh yes. Some of the PE teachers take all the in person kids and another PE teacher takes the virtual kids for each block. No virtual PE in school!!

I don't understand the PE comment. Maybe this is different from school to school? My son is definitely playing games in PE. He also got an exception and goes 4xs a week. His friends are all trying to scramble to get in now that it's being moved to 4 days

My kids (teacher) are just sitting there doing anything when they do have PE, other days FLE, but on the days they have PE they just sit there do nothing, that what the kids tell me.

Odd. I'd take that up with the teacher. Seems lazy. My kid has an ankle injury and he's been passed he can't fully participate. He came home limping after, of all things, badminton.

This is basically what my kid described when everyone was virtual. Or thinks like hiking in place in their bedroom while watching a video of someone hiking. Seriously. But now that she is in person those days are much better.

how many of them were "hiking in place" since the videos are not required to be on?
