My kid’s school did.
Any parent who is enabling the normal pandemonium this year (by bankrolling trips) are just prolonging our long nightmare. |
| Um, because they’re adults. |
| Adults don’t actually do spring break. Kids do |
just like the massive spike that happened after the super bowl, right?
I'm sorry you don't understand science and/or are a Lockdown Lover. |
+1 |
| I thought everyone realized by now how it’s not connected. Cases are going plummeting and it will continue as the number of people vaccinated continues to grow exponentially. A bunch of 19 year olds going on vacation doesn't change that. |
weird, my sister is a professor and looks forward to her trip to Mexico/Florida/etc. every year in March over her school's spring break. Guess I'll have to let her know she's a kid. |
| UVA did. The students get five days off scattered throughout the semester. |
| Cornell did and is still testing students twice a week. |
Found the coronabro! |
My kid's university did that too. Actually most of the universities I've heard of did that this year. I have no idea what OP is talking about. |
I guess you don't watch much news. |
| UNC cancelled spring break too |
You must miss Trump. In other countries, once the proportion of variants hit 50%, they experienced a surge. The outcome of the pandemic is not yet written. But I can see where some kids get their immaturity and irresponsibility. --This from someone with a PhD in SCIENCE |
| Some tells me the kind of kids congregating en masse in Florida wouldn’t think twice about skipping a week of Zoom classes even if their schools didn’t cancel Spring Break. |
