Does that help DC to make it happen too?

Not until the DC Department of Health starts listening to SCIENCE. DC is far behind in it's guidelines.

God this is so depressing.

One time in my life I’m in favor of the impact of peer pressure.

It is very important that people start defining what IPL is.

My child sitting in a classroom - sitting at a deck with headphones on watching a screen is not what is needed.

We need to start changing the language and calling it "In Person Instruction"

I agree with this.

It doens't matter what the science says. If enough teachers aren't forced to come back there wont be enough staff. My kid is thriving in person and her school has the phycical space to bring back probably another 60 kids but they couldnt get any teachers to come back and the WTU can't force them.

You do realize DCPS is planning full IPL too right? They are just having a backup plan this time. I bet you they won’t be full IPL, I hope I’m wrong tho.

Teachers won’t take that extra risk. Your child must be in their bubble.

And Fairfax just posted a presentation to their school board that they are also planning five days a week.

Everyone is planning, if it happens or not is the real question.

I would be so much happier if DC stated their "plan" for Fall was 5-day-a-week in-person school with students facing teachers (face-to-face) (masked).

Why wouldn’t it be 5-days in person instruction?

Bc Dr. Nesbit can’t or won’t update the DOH rules based on updated science.
