Just saw the report that there were 2 positive diagnoses/positive tests at ATS and one at McKinley since hybrid began last week. But at least they're sharing this information as it's happening. Makes me optimistic that their reporting will continue to improve.

How did you get that link?
This doesn't tell us much because we don't know that any of those positive cases are among students or staff who were physically back in school. Lots of people going back next week are already filling out the screenings. |
Staff has its own report. These are students. |
How did you get the link? A static link to one day's data doesn't help anyone who wants to monitor this going forward. Your response also still does not address the fact that there is no way of knowing from this whether the diagnosed students were ever in the building, so you may be needlessly scaring people at the schools you mentioned. |
Here's the link to the employee data. I don't control the data -- esp given that I don't work for APS or the data company -- so I can't speak to its limitations or correct them. If you have issues with the information, take it up with APS. I got the information through the dashboard. https://apsva.co1.qualtrics.com/reports/RC/public/YXBzdmEtNjAyZmQ4NTE5ZDM0MjAwMDEyNmMzOTg2LVVSXzJ6QkpuNWJ5ZXo1bGVGWg==?fbclid=IwAR2Yhn6EeTHw7Ge5o04mOE_RwoTD-115YAwMkOMTjz059A9ztzsQmL67E18 |
How cynical and crappy of you to assume a negative intent behind posting the information. FFS, don't blame the messenger just because you don't like the message. Thank you, OP, for posting. |
NO - I do not find PP cynical at all and completely agree that the OP is unnecessarily creating scare tactics. Not a big surprise though, OP is probably someone who has been fighting against opening schools for months.. they are probably waiting for some piece of evidence now that hybrid is actually happening. |
All of these links are on the APS Covid dashboard.
https://www.apsva.us/school-year-2020-21/aps-covid-19-dashboard/ Scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says employee and student exclusions |
Nice try OP.. I can read right through your false pretense that APS is "improving transparency" when you are clearly trying to create fear amongst families in said schools.
Just stop.. keep your kids home if you are not comfortable but stop trying to make everyone else fear for their life now that the kids are finally heading back in the classroom. |
What do you want them to stop? APS has been sending out this dashboard for weeks to everyone. |
Whatever. I’m OP and my HS kid returns to hybrid next week. I was concerned that APS wasn’t going to be transparent with this data, but it seems to be. I think every parent sending their kids back to hybrid expect there will be positive cases so this shouldn’t surprise or overly concern anyone. |
Then why bother posting this if you expect it? I fully expect cases in schools. My kids are either already back or going back. But I’m not scouring data for cases. What is the point of this. |
Yes, it’s way too rational to try to monitor for local cases. Better just pretend like there isn’t a pandemic. No need to change my own behavior that way. |
There's a pervasive negative perspective on DCUM. Not all posts have to have negative intent, some are merely informative. Many APS parents do not read their emails thoroughly and could have been unaware of the reporting, meanwhile they're screaming "where's the data?" |
