What are the nicest and most beautiful towns in Colorado?

I would love to visit this summer and just starting to research.

There are loads. We love Telluride.

I was just in Breckinridge, it’s a super cute town and I suspect lovely and fun in the summer. Durango is nice and Telluride is great.

I'll put another vote in for Telluride. It's quite expensive, but the scenery is gorgeous. People tend to go to Colorado for the nature and not the architecture and charm of their towns. If you want a charming town in beautiful mountains, try Switzerland.

I visited Breck once in the summer. It's not not nice but I think there are better options. I have heard Steamboat Springs is great. I'm sure Telluride is great too. Winter Park has lots of activities for kids but it's not really a cute town.

Ouray

If you are looking to stay in the central CO/Denver area and not venture as much into the mountains, I love Boulder and Estes Park. Fort Collins is very cute too.

Breckenridge is great in the summer. Just know that "summer" is July -- May and often June are not good weather!

Estes Park is cute and right at the entrance to RMNP. It can get congested, so just beware.

Ouray is awesome! But small (which I prefer) and not central to most things people want to do.
OP, what exactly are you looking for?

Uh, no. The Swiss are not very nice. Try Austria.

I prefer June. It rains most afternoons... but that means things are green, and lower wildfire danger! It’s a cooling rain that makes the evenings nice (not hot).

In Breck? In early June, I stepped into waist-deep snow on a hiking trail.

Nederland is a cute hippie town in the mountains if you're looking for a stop.
