SUV with sunroof...do you even use it?

Looking to get a SUV and wondering if getting one with a sunroof is even worth it. Didn’t really use the one I had in my current car, I did use when I lived on the west coast. For those who have one, is it worth getting one or do you regret it having it?

No. Unfortunately for the safety features, we wanted the car had a sunroof. DH uses I never do. We have had a few again I don't use.

All the time! Even when the glass isn’t open, we have the shade pulled back so that you can see through the roof - makes the inside of the car feel so much bigger!

Nope, but DH insists on getting the panoramic one that’s basically the whole roof.

I use it when I’m in the car alone but when the kids are in the second row I worry too much about wind and sun in their face

I had it a long time ago, and yes, I did use it, but I lived in CA. I live in the DC area now.

Last year, I bought a new car, didn't care or the moonroof. But, lately, I've been opening the screen but leaving the window closed. It's nice to have more sun in the car when it's cold outside.

I use it in every season unless there is precipitation. LOVE it.

Interesting perspectives. It does make the car feel bigger on the inside but wondering if it’s worth the extra few thousands to get one.

What safety issues? Like if you were in an accident?...someone flying out the roof? The one I had would also always catch leaves in the motor surrounding the it.

No, I think the PP meant that the safety features (stability controls, extra airbags, backup camera, driver assist) come as a package that also includes the sunroof.

I'm 19:35.. I open the screen, but I would not say it's worth an extra few thousand. I only got it because it came with the package I wanted.
