Maybe if we developed everyone and not just the majority Q1/2 kids we wouldn’t lose to North Korea in U20 women’s soccer.
Let’s just keep developing the kids who are the biggest and fastest at an early age that seems to be working on the girls side. Not saying RAE won’t be an issue with new cut offs but I don’t remember us losing to North Korea when SY dates were in effect. |
You must be the one who most people around you hate you. Just shut up and go to have a life. |
Thank you, this was very helpful. I |

Everyone should listen to the new ECNL podcast episode 103 3 min in they are addressing the rumors and what’s going on.
Will be decided either in October or November according to ECNL president. |
|
This maybe a dumb question but wouldn’t ECNL moving their year to grade raise the issue of redshirting? Which I think is an issue in other sports?
That is, teams will include kids that are a full year or more older than their teammates? |
Because most people don't want to hear the truth that interferes with their made-up reality? |
Here comes the podcast promotions guy again |
I’ll sum it up for you since you’re to afraid to listen. Yes they can do it on their own. Yes they’re talking about the 25/26 season. Yes there will be a decision Oct/Nov. Yes surveys went out. The only thing they didn’t touch on that comes up a lot was if would be grade year, July 1 or August 1. |
You seem nervous. |
Depends on if the goto a SY cut off Aug 1 to July 31 or something like that. Going just to grad year you could see kids being held back but from what I’ve heard that’s only ECNL not the other leagues. |
They did today. Sounds like it’s happening. |
| ECNL will switch. They hope the other guys do it all together. |
|
None of this has a single thing to do with improving the state of youth soccer or developing individual players
It's all about how it can help ECNL get more $$$ |
If you listen to the back part of the podcast, someone offered that they believe that the switch to SY will increase soccer participation and was viewed as the most important thing that youth soccer needs. (Seemed others agreed.) Increased participation would improve the state of youth soccer. |
