Mad about You 2019??? Whaat?

So they are making new episodes?
Have anyone seen them?
Thoughts?

I watched the first few on Amazon prime.

I’m 46 btw.

I liked it for the nostalgia to see where they are now, but the storylines are boring. For the most part, they obsess over their daughter going off to college, then deal with menopause, etc.

Aha!
That's what I thought.
But wait!
"It initially aired on NBC from September 23, 1992, to May 24, 1999" says Wiki..
so the kid would be well in collage now no? I mean.. to be overly picky on the real time vs. the show timeline.

I guess.

The parents seem old and they seem over the top crazy about Mabel going to college.

I’m running out of shows to watch, so I might go back to it.

Candidly, Cybil (also on prime) is much funnier.

I hear you. It is like most people are praying for the Friends never get back together, bunch of grandparents would spoil the
bygone memories of youth. Sometimes things are best left where they ended..

I was sort of desperate for something to watch and used to like the show when it was on in the 90s.

Helen Hunt is really over bearing and a total helicopter mom. The daughter Mabel is a terrible person and Paul Rieser is the best part.

It was nice to see the familiar characters and they live in their same apartment.

I loved the original Mad About You. The reboot is ok; I still binge-watched the whole thing.

It’s really hard to do a reunion show/series. Very few get it right and most tend to come off too cringy and a bit pathetic.

All of this.

Did they make new Cybil episodes? I loved that show. Another bad thing about Weinstein.

The episode where Helen Hunt gets high was funny. The series gets better along the way.

Just finished 4th episode. Can't stop laughing.
After reading negative reviews I thought I have to see it, and I am glad I did.
Really funny. I think if you have not seen the original series you might be lost but if you did, this is really hilarious.
They did really good job. Back to watching the rest of episodes.

The typo in the subject line makes it seem like Meh About You

I liked watching it. Like revisiting some old friends. Comfort food of sorts.
