| Where are y’all watching this? I don’t see it on AP and I don’t have Spectrum. |
It’s on Prime. I was excited to discover that since it previously had been only on Spectrum. Like others have said it’s like comfort food. For some reason, Prime took me to the original show’s finale in the middle of watching the new one. That’s definitely worth a watch too, as they imagine the future. |
Amazon, you need to search for "Mad about you" and for some reason it is listed among original old episodes as episode one.. just click on the one they both look older much much older. It is really good, but you need to get into it.. |
| The reboot was actually great once you got past the first few episodes. I binged it. |
I thought it meant the characters were old now and needed their daily meds. |
|
|
OMG.. there is something uplifting in them coming back with so much honesty..
Then.. Now.. |
Yes! That's it! |

Here is fairly recent interview with Ellen about their decision to make the 2019 comeback... new episodes 20 years later:
"Ellen Had to Be Reminded She Was in ‘Mad About You’ with Helen Hunt & Paul Reiser" |
|
Helen Hunt has had so much plastic surgery, it's painful to watch her.
|
Seriously? Do you think that you need to hold up a 57 year old woman up to your own beauty standards and completly miss what she has to offer in terms of a human experience that she brings into the show? What she represents is real. What you expect is fake. if you want a perfect face at this age then you are missing entirely the point of this show. |
| Seeing the original intro makes me miss being in my 20s, in the city, in the 90s. |
It sounds like good times. Is the new show relatable? It seems they are stuck in the same place all those years though. |
| I mindlessly watched a few episodes last night. It was definitely meh. But Mad About You was meh in the 90s too. |
+1,000 That show wasn’t exactly Must See TV |
