| Ron Perlman left his wife his wife of 38 years for a woman near his children's age. I'm wondering how common this is (probably not this large an age gap)? In examples, what was the aftermath like for the man, woman, and children? |

The couple I know, are still together. He is a friend of my FIL, the woman is closer to my age (a little older). His wife and kids were absolutely devastated. He has been pretty generous and they stayed in the house, so they have felt no change financially (he's well off even by DCUM standards).
He travels a lot with the gf. He gave her a big fancy ring a few years ago but I don't think they have any plans to get married. He traveled a lot before the affair too (that's how he met the gf). |
They were in an open relationship for ages, which IMO is not the best. |
Maybe she thought that was the way to keep him... |
| My husband left me for a woman 10 years younger. She is very close to a younger version of myself. Bizarre. Anyway, my kids were/are devastated. I'm fine. |
Hope she gets a good settlement and kicks his cheating a$$ to the curb. |
so I guess no one besides wife/kids cared? Sort of interesting. |
How can a mother be @fine@ when her children have been devastated? |
| Should they leave their wife for an older woman? |
True, it only lasted for 38 years. What a failure. |
| My sister married her law school professor - when they first met he was married with three kids. Ages of those kids - basically they were 5-10 yrs younger. She was early 30s he was early 50s. Ex wife was “crazy” - of course. Nobody really likes to talk about timeline when they started dating. I have no real relationship with either of them. Ironically they are big time Catholic and I found it hilarious when they couldn’t have a church wedding. |
A lot of affairs are approx. same age partners, particularly the married dating affair websites. It’s some how easier to swallow when they are old and ugly and unsuccessful. It would be tough to take if it was a hot young one. That would be hard on self-esteem. |
Yes. A 38-year marriage and he sprung this on her. He’s 70 now. She’s having mental health issues after finding out which those who have had this happen will tell you are very real and no f-in joke: anxiety, loss of sleep, startling, racing heart/angina, depression, loss of appetite, flashbacks. People are pieces of shit that do this. |
| Perlman’s new one looks like a trashy Ho. HUGE tramp stamp on her lower back—almost looks like Affleck’s Phoenix. |
Scroll down and see “grandpa” doing a dance routine with her. OMFG : https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-9189331/amp/Ron-Perlmans-estranged-wife-needs-psychologist-battles-depression-anxiety.html |
