APS-in person actually happening?

Seems like things are heading that way... will APS be back before spring break?

Seems like it!

Who knows. Certain vocal factions are pushing to only reopen schools after everyone is vaccinated (including kids), but I don’t think even APS is chicken little enough to go that far.

The slowdown in staff vaccinations is a real problem, though. Hopefully the J&J vaccine will be approved in the next few weeks to significantly boost supplies.

Another factor is the more contagious strains now circulating. That could really harm the metrics that APS is using for guidance.

I think it is possible that they will go back, but with it being a concurrent model, there’s not much benefit anyways.

The FOMO DL for everyone because I don’t want other people’s kids getting hybrid instruction is a tough hurdle.

Its not FOMO, its basically concurrent is taking a massive dump on DL instruction. You know teachers will be focused on in-person students, helping them with technical issues, yelling about mask protocols etc; the good cadence that DL has built up is being tossed out so some loud parents can get childcare.

DL instruction is a “massive dump” to begin with. APS isn’t going to continue to keep everyone home just to indulge a minority of people like you. Your good cadence is in no way a general reality.
