Do your 11/12/13 year old daughters have crushes?

| Either on celebrities or in real life? When I was that age, I did. I remember plastering my wall with posters of celebrities. I have an 11 and 13 year old, and neither seem to harbor any “crushes” and neither are “obsessed” with anyone famous, and they definitely aren’t interested in any boys. This seems to be the norm...or is it different for your daughters? |

| My 11 year old does not! I was totally boy crazy so I’m surprised. I know she is curious about sex but she hates books with romances and isn’t interested in anything in pop culture that has to do with cute boys. She also doesn’t text any boys (or girls) in that kind of way. |

My straight DD did not. She wasn’t interested in boys until 9th grade. Then she was boy crazy a bit before falling for one boy and dating him
All of HS. My lesbian DD came out at 11 and immediately had crushes she told us about. |

My 9 year old nephew has boy crashes. Social media, mostly Tick Tick has made thing TOO available. He is obsess with Larray and James Charles. If it wasn't for social media he probably would not have come out at his young age. |

| Yes! She vehemently denied it until her sister called her out when she was 11. Then she told me she’d actually had crushes years before. I don’t think you can go around and saying you know if your kid has crushes or not because there’s a lot they’re not telling you. It’s private. |

My DDs - now 15 and 13 - also didn’t have crushes at that age. When I was that age, I remember all my celebrity crushes and being so excited to get the latest copy of 16 or Tiger Beat.
I don’t think my girls are gay (I wouldn’t care) they just seem to be more into their sports/studies. |

| Dd is 18 now but I think her first big crush was in 8th grade. That was on a real person at school. I wasn’t aware of any celebrity crushes. |

Some did/do, and some skip it. One my daughters developed a crush on Pacey, from Dawson's Creek. Not Joshua Jackson, just Pacey.
Kids are weird. Just roll with it. |
