We were all right. Jen is writing her new memoir at MeCamp and supposedly just signed a new contract with Simon and Shuster. They must want to lose money.

She implied that her hand therapy tools were sex toys in her video. No one thought that, Jen. And, ah, gross.

The place she's staying at doesn't look too nice. Sort of basic. Like real basic.

Except that they won't lose money because she'll make it the book of the month for her book club and that will likely (briefly) get it into the bestseller list. Nothing fishy here whatsoever. But is it going to be #1? Highly unlikely.

Oookay. I am a true fan of this thread. I check it first when I come into DCUM. However- this latest story seemed… real. Still hate the cutesie lip smacking hair touching. And the constant sales of weird crap.

But then there will be one post where I’m like- maybe I’m wrong about her. Maybe IRL she’s actually a nice person and my friends who I see hearting her posts have a more balanced view.

But this could also just be me being fooled by a narcissist, I guess.

Her little tale of drinks thru the day was … I mean, not hysterical. But relatable and the sort of thing I remember her as, way back when.

But she kind of does, because something will be commented on here and then suddenly, Jen is talking and posting about that thing- ex. People start calling her out for talking trash about her roommate and then shortly after, she's gushing about how much she loves her. So this is evidently Jen's accountability group, since no one else will step up.

When she panned to that janky tv setup in her rental it kind of made me feel bad for her. Ma’am: are you staying in a dorm room?

Not sure why now all of a sudden she has changed me camp to be a writer’s retreat.

I think a memoir from her is going to be a tough sell due to her inability to be authentic and also because she doesn’t seem to know who she is or what she wants at this stage in her life. I find her to be boring and while she’s walked a universal and relatable path of marriage infidelity, there isn’t anything different or unique that she’s brought to the situation that women will think they need to hear. Maybe it’ll get on the best seller list for a week due to her book club buying it. She just come across as such a fake person and that’s the opposite of what makes a good memoir. Rachel Hollis’s books sold initially because it was before anyone knew who she was. Now that they know, she can’t write a book like that and expect it to sell. Big Sis has already peddled her stories to us and then shown who she really is.

I wonder if she will get help from Beth Moore, whose memoir sold well and had good reviews.

I’m sure Brandon is super excited about his ex rehashing a painful past with an un asked for memoir because it’s “her story” and she needs the buzz in hopes of rekindling a dying career and selling ANOTHER phoenix rises from the ashes of a divorce story.

Yeah, I’m sure he’s super enthusiast about all of this.

He may get a good payoff. Didn't Glennon at one point admit to paying her ex a hefty sum or buying him a house or something after throwing him under the bus in her book(s)? My guess is all these types would need to pay off the husband to stay silent. Otherwise Branden and others could start a movement of the man sharing his side and I bet there is A LOT of dirt Jen would not like shared about what she is really like behind closed doors.

100%. But these are two very materialistic people highly motivated by $ so I’m sure if Jen offered him some money to stay quiet he’d take the money and run.
