Worth a listen.

I didn't have the highest opinion of Chap before. But after this he has me as a voter and financial backer for life.

He has 2 kids in FCPS right now. He has seen the inside of the distance learning sausage factory.

Excellent speech and courageous for a politician to say out loud that a 9 year old's life has more value than a 99 year olds.

He is vile.

Chap is a friend of mine from college. He is not afraid to say what is on his mind, and he's been very consistent throughout the pandemic of the need to push for reopening both businesses and schools.

State senators really don't get paid much to have a whole social media operation going on.

Almost every other rep has figured it out, really not that hard.

That being said he can do whatever the hell he wants with his twitter account if he helps school get open.

Thank you Chap!!

If Chap is your senator, please thank him!

If he is not, please call/email your state senator and ask them to support SB 1303 and Chap’s budget amendment requiring schools to provide in-person options in order to receive state funding (this won’t take away virtual options).

Here is a site where you can find your state senator and their contact info!!

https://whosmy.virginiageneralassembly.gov/

If you think schools should be open please contact them ASAP and tell them to support SB 1303!!!!

Go, Chap! Well spoken. Proportionality is something we have avoided discussing in this pandemic. And accountability.

That’s not exactly what he said and it’s just going to get people riled up phrasing it this way. Lets’s be accurate. He said “The death of a 99-year-old is not worth closing school for a 9-year-old.”

And I agree with him.

Any mention of children attending schooling will set some people off these days.

He's asking for schools to be fully open this fall. That's the ask. That's not radical and I don't see what people are disagreeing with.
