Students and staff were supposed to return January 21.
After this upcoming 5-day weekend. Due to the high level of cases and infection rates as described in the risk Matrix there’s no telling when they’ll return. What’s not forthcoming is the vaccine rollout being slow, unorganized and high numbers of declinations. So I guess third quarter will be mostly if not all virtual. Who would’ve thought back in August that 75% of the year would be virtual. Anyone thinks they’ll have virtual until June? https://www.lcps.org/cms/lib/VA01000195/Centricity/domain/61/2020-2021_files/LCPS_Risk%20Matrix_for_In-Person_Learning-01122021.pdf |
| Did you really believe you'd be going back? |
| I'll call it now, next school year will be a repeat of this. --Someone who picked virtual for both semesters |
| The same day that Northam told schools to open up. Tsk tsk. |
| This isn’t new. It’s the same metrics we’ve had for months. When we are below 10%, we’ll go hybrid. I predict after spring break. |
Nah. Hybrid will be back Q4 and fall will be 5 days for all. |
You’re lucky dreaming is free of charge. Otherwise I’d slap you with a hefty fine for speaking all that charlatanish nonsense. |
PPR is already heading down and old people are being vaccinated. Q4 is two months away - PPR will be below 10% by then. |
What’s the PPR? What’s the cases per 100,000 booties? |
Not me! I thought 100% of the year would be virtual! (And it will be, you’ll see) |
It's still up to the counties. He told us to open back in August and look at where we are. He can recommend, suggest, and urge schools to open all he wants - at this point his power is pretty limited. |
Don’t bother. We don’t believe you anyway. |
Better for me. That way the charade lasts longer. |
| What are they doing about sports? |
Wrestling is happening = sports ain’t getting canceled |
