See that a don’t rent DC campaign has kicked off for people who own AirBnBs in Dec.
Is anything similar happening with hotels & motels in the area, including those in Crystal City and area surrounding DC? |
| But what about people who want to come to DC to see Kamala and Joe inaugurated? What about them? Why punish them? |
Why do you think it's punishment? |
There really aren’t going to be big public events to participate in. |
They’ve been asked to stay home. |
| Marriott is raising rates to discourage booking with them. |
+1 Bowser has specifically asked people NOT to come to DC. There aren't going to be any big events, both because of the pandemic and because of the major security threats. There won't be a big crowd on the Mall, there won't be big parties, etc. I would not be surprised if the inauguration ends up being in some undisclosed location, not even on the steps of the Capitol. There's not going to be anything to see that you can't see on your TV from home. |
| I don’t know, but I’m guessing that it will be easier to identify and track people who stay in hotels with cameras and other types of security, and people will be more concentrated vs Airbnb. |
