Can DeJoy be impeached?

Biden doesn't have the authority to fire him, only the Post Office Board of Governors does. They are all Republicans because McConnell refused to allow votes for Obama's appointees, leaving those seats vacant for Trump to fill.

But can DeJoy be impeached? The damage of his actions is ongoing, and he has a clear conflict of interest.

now that McConnell is out as majority leader, Biden’s nominees can get a vote.

Oops, maybe I'm wrong. Can't have more than 5 of the same party, so there must be empty seats. Even so, the Republicans would still have the majority, so they could keep DeJoy there as long as they want.

Every executive appointee can be fired "for cause."

That's why there was a big debate as to whether Trump could fire Jay Powell - he had not done anything "for cause" to rise to the level of firing. Firing him would merely be at the whim of Trump's and the courts would need to clarify if that met the "for cause" standard.

I think there is plenty of "cause" if Biden fired DeJoy.

i have packages that haven't moved in a month all because this guy destroyed the machines and slowed down the mail.

DeJoy has caused so much harm I really would like him to see some serious consequences. How many tens of millions of dollars of post office machines were destroyed because of him?

Impeached? I'm hoping imprisoned. If the dots can be connected to deliberate efforts to interfere with voting rights, he should be jailed. I'm fine if he's impeached too, though.

He can't be fired. The board that can fire him is 4R 2D, and have stated that they are happy with him. There are 3 open positions, and if Biden can fill that quickly, he will be removed, but there are so many fires for him to put out, this one, I'm afraid, will be on the back burner.

Congress can fix the budget issue through legislation, making his budget and service cuts moot. All they need is a rate increase.

There are four empty seats and one that expires on Dec. 8 2021. Biden needs to make filling these a priority.

I've been waiting six weeks for a package mailed from upstate New York. It's sitting somewhere in the DC area.

In a corporation, DeJoy would be fired for incompetence.

DeJoy needs to go at noon on January 20.

The USPO was doing very well delivering my packages before DeJoy. Get rid of him, Biden!!!
