For Jen's sake, I really hope Gavin and Dani start a family soon. Do they live near her or Brandon?

Is Remy doing any kind of post-secondary school? Or will she continue to be Jen's roommate?

Yes, this makes a lot of sense. Abby's fame is inspirational and earned. G is all about triumph of the white privileged yoga pants woman who fakes vacuuming (strange story from one of her books) and doesn't want you showing off your avocado ways, but you should pretend you're a cheetah and do whatever you want whenever and that will make you a role model to your kids. All word salad and BS while Abby was setting real goals and scoring goals and rising up through hard work, talent, skill and perseverance

Fake vacuuming? Spill it.
G already fessed up that she added votes to her homecoming court nomination and gave herself the title. It may sound unfair, but dishonest patterns seem to be her thing. She has never really grown up. Whereas Abby had some issues and hit bottom with substance issues, did the work, and is moving on. G just lives in lies. But preaches authenticity.

How much of Jen's former books were outright lies?

My guess is 95%.

Yeah. Go away. Jen is a predatory toxic nuisance. We have the receipts. Go away.

You people are as nutty as fruitcakes.
Those are the only receipts you use, the ones of your craziness.

Well, in fairness, you might be crazy too if you spent over a decade in a small church where women like Jen and Glennon had an outsized influence on the women of the church and those women had a significant influence of the culture and ethos of the church. I had reasons to stay as long as I did, but it definitely made me a crazy.

*that should say "a little crazy".

And, in the spirit of patience, you waited for them to get better and they just spiraled into more crazy, launched blogs, got book deals and speaking gigs and spread the crazy far and wide. Now, in Jen's case, it's contracting somewhat. Unless she marries an Olympian instead of an immature part-time actor and t shirt printer.

I don’t think the world is ready for her posting a million baby pics that consist of only one idea in her head: how fat the baby is and doesn’t it look like the Michelin man with it’s body rolls

But on the other hand, it’ll give TM a chance to gift the baby a free litter robot.

Didn't G have something in her first or second book about not turning the vacuum on, but just leaving marks. I think it was a blogpost too like most of the book. Vacuuming is probably the easiest chore out there. She was trying to be cute, messy and relatable, but that was just an early sign of her testing out whether her monkeys would eat up any nonsense she spews. Spolier alert-they apparently do. I did not know she added votes to be homecoming whatever. Wonder if she purchases IG followers and buys a bunch of her books-just enough to be a best seller? I mean the cheetah nonsense was nutty. Maybe she made up some blogpost comments too to help her rise up?!

Jen's books definitely had lies. Didn't she claim to be a minimalist at one point before she tried to convince every to buy buy buy? I just can't even believe she is the same person. Is it me or did she seem genuinely likeable and normal with decent values many years ago?

I feel salty toward both these ladies because years ago they seemed likeable, humble and down to earth. I knew from the get go Rachel Hollis was delulu (in a non-clinical sense) so I'm not annoyed with her. She has been consistently phony.

I totally agree about Glennon and Jen being cut from identical cloth--and also I really really feel for the women on here whose tendrils of faith got tangled up with Jen's thorns.

I always thought Glennon was nutty from the get-go, in spite of being a good writer and posting a few meaningful essays. She has always had the manic energy and you can't hide those crazy eyes.

Jen, otoh, was incredibly likeable and a warm, witty storyteller. She was very measured when big issues would hit the headlines, like Chick Fil A stuff. Her more liberal fans really demanded more pointed responses, imo. She had a whole post years and years ago called The Basement. She encouraged people to sit out the storm (the Chick Fil A controversy) or some similar metaphor.
But now she is just a hot take machine, and her new fan base is very protective but VERY demanding of her. More Pharisaical than her original tribe, for sure.

I only saw one or two posts from me camp and I agree, nothing seems interesting or inspired about it. She needs a new shtick if she thought she could just show up to a small town and have strangers fall over themselves to meet her. Why not take a pottery class, go to museums, or do something other than drink and try to be noticed by randos…

We’re halfway through 2024 and I can’t remember the last time she orchestrated anything off substance.

I think she’s long hit an influencer plateau. Is it even possible for her to step away and live life that one day might be worthy of posting on? Or we will she go the Hollis route, circling the drain until she is just a carcass? I don’t say that to be crass but I see influencer lifestyle as a unique type of addiction/mental illness.

Guys, Jen is just TICKLED to be going to book club with random ladies tonight. Me Camp is about saying YES. Plus making a second blueberry cobbler because she's in the blueberry capital.

I think most of these ladies will circle the drain until maybe a mental breakdown and professional intervention helps them get off social media and find healthier ways to boost their mood. There was some NYC Mormon influencer who moved to Arizona and by then had a bunch of kids and she circled the drains for a long time before she vanished and based on things she said prior some thought there was mental health intervention. I do think these are people who need a constant supply of validation and praise they also push away people who give them a reality check and don't feed the ego.

I am the poster who said I always knew who Rachel was and I appreciate the consistency. It was clearly BS from the get-go. She has been recycling other people's work and somewhat plagiarizing quotes from the start. I don't know if Jen and Glennon were wolves in sheep's clothing or were genuinely corrupted by social media addiction. Was their narcissism (not using it clinically) covert before or did spending more and more time on social media create narc tendencies out of a regular human?

Woman is so desperate to hold on to her z-list celebrity status that she travels to small towns solely with the hope of locals recognizing her and thinking she’s a big deal. Records cringe content that she can then post in between her schilling ads.

You are probably right. I think I only read her blog and books before I discovered her other social media so I didn't see the other side. Did she even admit she was diagnosed with a personality disorder? I know she has mentioned bulimia and anorexia, but I think at one point she actually said she has a PD. but didn't say which one. Maybe I am confusing her with someone else.

I agree about Jen. She has such warmth about her and was a great story teller. She also seemed much more humble and self-aware. I recall she had friends then too, but there wasn't this obsessive need to brag about all her friends and post girlie photos like a middle school girl who wants you to know she's popular.
