I only saw one or two posts from me camp and I agree, nothing seems interesting or inspired about it. She needs a new shtick if she thought she could just show up to a small town and have strangers fall over themselves to meet her. Why not take a pottery class, go to museums, or do something other than drink and try to be noticed by randos… We’re halfway through 2024 and I can’t remember the last time she orchestrated anything off substance. I think she’s long hit an influencer plateau. Is it even possible for her to step away and live life that one day might be worthy of posting on? Or we will she go the Hollis route, circling the drain until she is just a carcass? I don’t say that to be crass but I see influencer lifestyle as a unique type of addiction/mental illness.
I think most of these ladies will circle the drain until maybe a mental breakdown and professional intervention helps them get off social media and find healthier ways to boost their mood. There was some NYC Mormon influencer who moved to Arizona and by then had a bunch of kids and she circled the drains for a long time before she vanished and based on things she said prior some thought there was mental health intervention. I do think these are people who need a constant supply of validation and praise they also push away people who give them a reality check and don't feed the ego. I am the poster who said I always knew who Rachel was and I appreciate the consistency. It was clearly BS from the get-go. She has been recycling other people's work and somewhat plagiarizing quotes from the start. I don't know if Jen and Glennon were wolves in sheep's clothing or were genuinely corrupted by social media addiction. Was their narcissism (not using it clinically) covert before or did spending more and more time on social media create narc tendencies out of a regular human?
