How many gifts do most kids get for Christmas?

I’m wrapping and felt like I had a lot and now it doesn’t look that way!

This year? Probably zero. No shopping for Christmas. We buy things and start using it as soon as Amazon delivers. The idea to hide it, wrap it, wait till Christmas? Nah!

In past years I would try to make it more special but this year my kids only have a small stack each, mostly clothes.

My kids get five. Three from us, one from their grandparents and one from their sibling.

We try to steer the sibling to get something from the "something you want, need, wear and read" concept but so far they don't want to, and we don't think this is the hill to die on, especially since we got the grandparents on board with it.

DD will get 14 presents, but that includes 5 books, so 9 as far as toys are concerned.

3 + 1 bigger shared present with 3-4 stocking gifts.

They get another 6-7 fm grands and secret Santa relative - we monitor, so it can be alot.

Our 3 year old is getting 2 toys, play dough, and some much needed clothes from us (4 presents total). 1 year old is getting Christmas pajamas.

One set of grandparents got 1 toy each for both boys and I think the other set of grandparents will be gifting some small items and will be putting money in their college accounts.

I have 2 kids and they will each get 14 things from Santa. Each gets 1-2 big items and the rest are smaller, less expensive item.

From our immediate family? (I assume that's what you're asking since you mentioned wrapping)

An ornament for the tree, back when we decorated it

PJ's the night before.

A stocking with a T shirt, a box of sugar cereal, a book or magazine, and 4 small wrapped gifts

Usually 1 big gift under the tree, although this year each of them is getting 2 things that go together, so they'll have two things to open.

And a gift from each other, which has been a nerf gun every year for the past 4 years.

Then far too many things from aunts, uncles, and grandparents. I actually think that just the list above would be more than enough.

My kids always get 10 each.

I don’t count, OP. 5? 10? Who cares?

I have 5 year old twin girls. They will be sharing 4 big presents and then each will get about 10 much smaller gifts. Their stockings will have chocolate, stickers, some small accessories etc...

We do the want, read, wear and craft and then 1 or 2 from Santa.

Our 4 kids are getting 9 or 10 packages each. All are getting 3-4 that are pajamas or clothes, one sibling gift, and the rest relatively small stuff. It’s stuff like pjs, new pants, socks, books, and for younger kids, art supplies.
