Like a gift you’d give to a good friend. Something you know that she would like and appreciate.

Our nanny loves to read (but not fantasy like Hobbit) and her books are displayed in her home prominently so books are a great gift to her. She doesn’t eat sugar or drink alcohol so no chocolates or wine. She loves blue and red - doesn’t like brown or yellow - so a cashmere blue scarf was a hit.

You should know your child’s nanny!!

Yes go by what she likes and enjoys. I gave a nice honey baked ham because she lives with a big family and they’ll eat it around the holidays, plus Kendra Scott bracelets and a yankee candle (she loves those and basically has one going daily, I’m personally not a fan but she is). And $500.

OP simply asked a question, calm down. What is with your hyper aggressive post? Get a therapist to work this out. I digress...we purchased our nanny a scarf. She was newly employed with us so this seem to be a great gift idea.

Nanny here- If your kids are a little older ask them! They usually know her best. My boss usually gives me a gift from her, a gift from the kids and a bonus.

Mine will be getting fancy wool socks, thermos (shes always cold) and 1 weeks pay in cash without tax taken out. And my kid will draw a card.

I like to do something warm in her favorite color: cashmere gloves, scarf, robe, pjs, flannel bedding, luxurious throw, candles, etc. plus a favorite food item to give on top of $1k bonus.

Why would OP ask internet strangers what she should give her nanny?!

How the hell would we know?! NP here and tell me what to give my brother for Christmas while you’re at it.

This is a normal question in comparison. Your brother does not work for you. Get outta here with your negativity Nancy!

She has been coveting a particular bag for awhile so we bought her that and filled it with some chocolates and some small things.

What PP is saying is that asking what to get her brother is as ridiculous as asking what to get her nanny. Sad that flew over your head, Karen.

Luckily, all nannies are the same - completely interchangeable - and all enjoy the same gift. /s

Typically I get 100 dollar target gift card and then a cash bonus.
