| Slightly OT, but am I really crazy to get a white (leather) handbag when I have a preschooler? There are a few I've been eying for Spring/Summer. |

The seatbelt bags are really good for toddler-moms. Everything washes right off. They come in great colors. I have a couple and always get compliments on them.

I bought a white leather Coach bag last spring, my first white bag by the way, with a 2 year old. It got some pen marks on it and I spilled some milk in the bottom. It washed out beautifully. It's "not" the easiest color to deal with, but I was in lust with the bag. |

Are Dooney and Bourke bags really uncool? I mean, there's one I'm eyeing and I'll probably buy it anyway, but just wondering how out of touch I am...

Why in the world do you care if it's cool or not? If you love it and can afford it, buy it! I would hope that we'd have moved beyond high school coolness issues by now... |

Hey, if you love your TB or Danskos, embrace it. And f*&$ whoever is ridiculous enough to criticize. There are far more important things (like your own happiness) to worry about. |

I actually don't have either, but I'm always a little amazed how much venom they seem to inspire. Just wondering if Dooney was the same way. It's kind of this urban vs. suburban battle on the boards, at least that's how it seems to me. |

oh i agree. i never really noticed the brand of flats people were wearing, but now I would be terrified to buy TB flats. I probably never would have anyway, but now its for sure. |

 You might be the same person who said the same thing about the Coach Parker handbag I posted last year. (Which I love more than any bag I've ever owned). But thanks for posting.

Oh, please let us not get into handbag wars. They are comparable to cars - price included. It is very personal.
But I must express concern about those who want white handbags. Be careful - it is very easy to look OL with one. |
