The meetings and request for community feedback is just for show. The Mayor and Chancellor will make the decision. The LaFayette PK will be relocated to the Brightwood neighborhood.
I suspect many IB families will pay for neighborhood nursery schools for the year. |

Will students be bussed from Lafayette to the new location?
That would make the move a lot more palatable. |

Opposing the move means no more pre-k for Lafayette, so this seems like a strangely-named petition. If you want pre-k for the school, you need the new location. If you just oppose the concept of pre-k taking place at another location (that you didn't get to choose), you're not saving anything because there's not room to keep it at Lafayette and there's not another location on the table. |

How do you bus 4 year olds in car seats? Seems like a waste of money to accommodate a bunch of spoiled parents. |

There are other solutions. The school wants the Brightwood building. They could make it work on the main campus. Other upper NW schools also have overcrowding. |

PS, this is so gross and privileged. Why not open another school like Stevens? |
