To not focus so much on being happy that you miss the fullness of life. Live life as a poet -- let yourself experience joy, pain, pleasure, grief, relief, anticipation, anger, and all emotions fully and without judgment or resentment towards the experience. With time, living in the fullness of your experience allows you to see the beauty and meaning in even your low moments. Instead of skipping from happy moment to happy moment and attempting to forget what happens in between, you can appreciate the richness of your life and even look back on difficulties with fondness.

From my father - “Honey, don’t worry.” I asked about what? He said, “Anything. If you can’t do a thing about it, worrying only harms you.”

This is a diagram we have in our kitchen. It's from the ancient Greek; it's the mindset of a Stoic. It actually looks like a box (with every arrow pointing to one "THEN DON'T WORRY" in the middle of the box), but I can't replicate it here.

Do you have a problem?------------------> NO---------------->THEN DON'T WORRY
