| Make good decisions and forgive yourself for mistakes. |
| Don’t compare yourself to other people. |
| Early in my career, a mean lady at work was trying to make my life hell and I was stewing and ruminating on it way too much. Talked to my dad and he said "honey, she's got to be her for the rest of her life." That sounded like the worst punishment and I sort of approached interactions with her with a new lens. I've since considered this line when it comes to other angry individuals and it is helpful in allowing things to roll off my back. |
| Don’t compare your insides to someone else’s outsides. |
| When you don’t have what you want, want what you have. |
| Love everything that is good with all your heart, and all of your soul, no matter how painful. And love your neighbor as you love yourself. YOLO! |
| Wear a mask and wash your hands. The rest will take care of itself. |
| Spend as much time building and improving yourself as you give to a job or significant other so that you never stop learning and growing. |
| Leap and the net will appear. This advice alone is the reason I am good when taking risks. |
| Find a way to want what you already have |

My dad used to always say "Learn to Leave"
Is your childhood friend actually a liar who only cares about herself? Don't speak to her anymore! Is your boyfriend unfaithful and rude to his mom? Dump him! Is your boss a racist and expects way too much from you for the little pay you receive? Find a new job! This has been my mindset for years and I am happier than ever. Of course, many people do not have the privilege of moving or changing jobs, so there are a lot of caveats. But if you have the chance to leave a bad situation or remove someone toxic from your life, do it. Its hard because we crave stability and long-term connections, but if someone/something is dragging you down, its best to cut it off. |
| The only thing that matters is money. Happiness doesn’t exist stop trying to be happy. It should be illegal to be happy. |
That's the whole premise of DCUM |
I like this one a lot. |
+1 I was going to say, run your own race It's a hard one to follow, but still good advice |
