What color should I paint my bathroom?

White and black tile. Black countertop top around sink. White tile floors with black accents. Wallpaper isn’t an option. Thoughts? If you can recommend the actual Benjamin Moore or Home Depot color/number that would be even better!

What's the era/style? Is it an 80's bathroom, or 40's 4x4 tile, or turn of the century penny and subway tiles?

If 80's, BM Tissue Pink

If 40's or earlier, BM Gray Sky

What kind of exposure does it have? Cool (i.e. predominantly northern/eastern) or warm (i.e. predominantly southern/western)?

And what color is the cabinetry?

Cabinets will be painted whatever color I paint the walls, I guess. Right now they are a horrible cream that's on the walls.

1950s midcentury modern vibe. Small tiny square tiles on the floor. Subway white tiles (with black accents) on the shower walls.

NO window.

Thank you!

You can’t go wrong with a nice greige.

OP again here -

This is the main bathroom for the 3 kids' bedrooms. They are teens now, but that's where it is in the house. Upstairs, full bath.

Rest of the house is so boring, but when I've tried to be bold with color it's been horrible. One kid says yellow. I said - let's let strangers decide. haha

BM Gray Sky is a very pretty light blue (it's not baby or girly though) that I'm sure would look good, but I would keep the cabinets as they are or paint them a different white.

Thanks. What white? there are so many!

Do an image search on Google or Houzz or Pinterest and type in Black and White bathroom with color accent.

Or pick out an awesome shower curtain or small artwork and base your color scheme of of that.

Personally I like blue.

Get samples because it depends on what goes with your tile but start with Simply White, Cotton Balls, Decorators White and Super White.

What about a nice rich blue? I like van cortland blue and van deusen blue, both ben moore. Or do a deeper navy, like naval (sherwin williams?) aand then paint the cabinets white (simply white). I like navy and black and white or a coastal blue, black and white. If you want a lighter blue i like bm feather gray.

If you want to go retro you could do pink (bm first light) is a grayish pink, not baby pink. Or a fun bold raspberry. (Are the teens girls?). Or just simoly white, bm on walls and cabs and bring in color in towels, accessories. Good luck

Any chance you could stain the cabinet rather than paint (i.e. a wood tone)? Otherwise all that black and white in a windowless bathroom is going to feel very stark and cold. If so, I'd paint the walls a warm white and go for something similar to this:

The best colors are a combination of pink and green. This is what I grew up with. They still sell lime green or pink toilets at Home Depot and other final retailers.

Not staining the cabinets (but what a beautiful bathroom!) and TY for the color ideas. Two boys and two girls so I probably won't do pink, even if it's not too bubble-gummy. Love the idea of a blue, and TY for the white suggestions.
