Where to buy a stroller - that is not Buy Buy Baby!

Hi everyone

Last month, we purchased a travel system from Buy Buy Baby in Rockville. They were supposed to ship it out within a week, didn't happen. Long story short - We are a couple of weeks away from delivery, still without a stroller + car seat, and the bassinet attachment for the stroller we wanted (which was not stocked at Buy Buy Baby) is now out of stock everywhere, leaving us back at square one.

Does anyone have any recommendations for stores with a decent selection of strollers/travel systems that are within 30-40 minutes of downtown DC that we could try? I would rather eat my own arm than experience buy buy baby again (their sales assistants also had very limited product knowledge) and chasing them up has been a nightmare, so would like to avoid them at all costs... but happy to try anywhere else.
As an aside, the Uppa baby everyone has here in DC is a bit bulky for our needs so we're inclining towards the European brands (Cybex, inglesina, etc.).

Target, Amazon. If you already know what kind you want the internet is your friend.

If you want to walk out with one in hand maybe a consignment store? There are some very nice ones in DC.

Try Nordstrom.

You don’t need the bassinet attachment.

If you know what car seat you want, you don’t really need the stroller at first. You can also get a cheap snap and go for the first several months.

I thought i didnt need the bassinet attachment and just bought stroller/car sea combo. I ended up ordering it within a week of my newborn coming home. We use it daily for downstairs naps.

To op, I second Nordstrom (if they carry the brand you want); they have samples in the store and you order the items you want.

Its possible the fuss with BuyBuy Baby is to do with inventory issues across the brand. If you know what you want check for "authorized retailers" on the manufacturer website and just call through local stores to see if they have it.
