Tips for using Noom?

Anonymous
Anyone? I just started today, age 47, female, trying to lose 15 to 20 pounds. I already exercise regularly. I was generally healthy but Covid-19 got me off my routine and now I'm paying for it. any tips or suggestions on how to make this work best? My biggest worry is dinner. I love to cook and have to cook for six people every dinner. I worry about fitting that into my diet. Just did a lunch recipe and it was quite good, so I'm hoping the dinner recipes will go over will with the rest of the family. Thanks!

I don't have great tips because I didn't love the program. However, if you are on facebook, there is a group which you might find helpful. Unofficial Noom Weightloss Group.

Why didn’t you love the program? I’ve been playing with the idea of signing up, but I keep hesitating.

I lost about 20 with it. Working on that last 5. I thought it was great, articles were good and I felt like my coach held me accountable. The facebook group is great and offered up good tips!

NP and there are other threads where I posted in more detail so too lazy to repeat. But basically the database of foods is limited and wildly inaccurate. Recipe suggestions to fit in with your remaining colors would leave out the red ingredients in saying it fit. Also lack of widely available recipes like with WW. I paid for Noom and quit and went back to ww for better support.

I'm the person you asked and I'll add - I didn't have the time to do the readings and associated exercises they offered, I am not one for group stuff so I found that annoying, and the coach didn't add anything for me. I've had friends have success so you never know.
