Most healthful bread for toddlers?

Anonymous
DH and I are trying to stay away from bread (covid 19!) but want to start our toddler on sandwiches. Right now he eats “toast soldiers” but not soft bread.

Thanks!

A thin sliced whole wheat worked for us. I also got those sandwich-press cutters to keep him from opening the sandwich and only eating the filling!

Dave's killer bread.

Ezekiel bread might be worth a try. It has legumes as well as differnt types of grains.

Um, what does bread have to do with COVID-19?

It’s the joke that we’ve gained 19 pounds since covid.

My toddler loves this bread!

I also do the Dave’s killer bread, thin sliced and get the one with the highest fiber.

Dave’s Killer Bread for us too. Much cheaper at Walmart and Costco.

Don't get Ezekiel bread.

You can get Dave's Killer Bread or just regular whole wheat sandwich bread.

Beer bread!

(Make it yourself with the toddler’s help)

Anything with 2 grams of fiber more more.

One good way to reduce pickiness is just to switch up the bread- I get Ezekiel one week, a soft wheat the next, a seedy one the next, whatever looks interesting that week but it can be helpful to not get the exact same one every time (this applies to lots of things, yogurt, veggies/fruits etc)

We just always did Whole Wheat bread. DD is 8 now and still likes it. Only time she had white bread is in a restaurant. Pre Covid.
