Then you don’t understand the legal threshold for SH b/c she doesn’t meet it. Her own lawyers have indicated they don’t believe her claims meet the legal threshold for SH, that’s why they’re focusing on retaliation and hoping they can find some evidence to support it.

And yet his lawyer did not move to dismiss.

Is it just making the rounds that it was dissolved, or did it actually do something interesting along the lines of Vanzan?

Just that it existed at all. People were basically saying their apology for the plantation wedding was insincere because they opened this LLC years after the wedding and for some reason it was still active. I guess RR saw people were talking about it and dissolved it today in response.

See, and that will probably bring more attention than just leaving it alone, lol.

It is very strange he had this LLC but also I don't think it means their apology was insincere.

One reason to create an LLC with that name would be to prevent someone else from doing so. Also, like most plantation sites in the last 20 years. Boone Hall has pivoted to make their tours and events more focused on the experience of enslaved people -- their culture and experience. RR does a lot of charitable work, perhaps he started an LLC to help fund some of this educational work at Boone Hall as a kind of penance for having celebrated their wedding there once they realized why it was bad.

I know people will yell at me that I'm giving him too much credit, but I just don't really get what people think he was doing with this LLC in the first place. It's weird he had it registered because to my knowledge he doesn't own that property or have anything to do with it. And it's not like he's been selling Boone Hall merch or something. He doesn't own the trademarks. It's a weird thing but people seem to be implying that he somehow profited off the plantation because he had the LLC and I struggle to understand how that would be the case.

Notactuallygolden seems like she's had it. She liked a comment on her videos indicating they think Blake and Co took the risk to obtain those text messages because they thought the NYT would be a mic drop but never expected or wanted it to go this far.

Why would he SH the star of his directorial debut and Ryan Reynolds wife? Post me too era. With cameras and witnesses all around? That doesn't make any sense.

Where are you getting these implications from? Didn't this news just come out?

I was surprised she came out against Freedman for the Madison Square Garden comments considering Blake is alleging SH. I like that she doesn't pull punches on either side.

DP but I recall the company being named after the plantation being discussed before. I knew about it so I must have read it on here and I'm no RR fan. The new news is it being dissolved.

I honestly think they’re probably the kind of people who open an LLC for everything and forgot they had it. I’m guessing they were planning to monetize something related to their wedding but decided against it after the plantation backlash. I have a feeling the have a lot of random LLCs.

PP here and I think this is a good theory. There's no evidence they've ever done anything with it and I think it's highly likely they forgot they had it. RR's business strategy definitely seems to be to try a million things and see what sticks.

Basically I just don't get why people are so worked up over this. It's not really evidence of anything.

Because until lively takes some sort of accountability, they will be under a microscope.

PP here. I don't think Baldoni decided to SH Lively. I don't think it was intentional. I think he's weird and has boundary issues and didn't understand that the things he was doing were not okay. I also think that like a lot of actors/directors/celebs (including Blake Lively) that he has narcissistic tendencies and when Lively (and others) started to complain about his and Heath's behavior, they were not really capable of taking responsibility or changing course. I also think Wayfarer has a lot of insular group think because it's a mission-based org where most people belong to the same religious organization. I've worked in an environment like that and it can produce a lot of obliviousness to how other people experience or view their behavior.

But I still think he crossed lines and that the things he did would also have felt harassing to me if I were in Lively's position. I don't think it's the worst example of SH I've heard of -- it's on the mild side and I also think Lively was able to deal with it because she has support and leverage and that if it had just ended with the 17 point list and that Jan. 4 meeting, no one would be suing and everyone would have moved on.

But I think Wayfarer doubled down on their behavior by going after her with TAG last August, and this is what precipitated the lawsuit. I also think that while Baldoni's and Heath's onset behavior was harassing but not poorly intentioned, the retaliation campaign *was* very intentional and they knew exactly what they were doing -- they wanted to discredit Blake and destroy her reputation. It was vindictive.

I know a lot of y'all don't see it that way. That's fine. But it's how I see it.
