The Trump Women and their Fashion Mishaps - Part Three

She’s always going to show up and smile and say whatever she is supposed to say. Melania is more interesting just by looking miserable all the time.

Literally no one would care if she hadn’t had a meltdown over a bland article saying she looks nice and respectable.

Tweeting your receipt so everyone will see you're a size XS is peak skinny ugly girl behavior. Like, okay, you're skinny, and you're still ugly. Some girl out there in a Medium undoubtedly looks better than you, Usha.

That tweet was beneath the office of the second lady and totally unnecessary.

If girlfriend wants some actual hate - she looks good in pictures, but weird while talking.

She doesn't look good in pics, tbh. She doesn't look good at all. She's a homely woman. There's a reason she had to settle for the chubby white trash guy instead of being set up with a family friend.

Oh my god, that looks like a Saturday Night Live still.

Came here to say just that! Way to go Maya Rudolph and…?

I just don't get what she's upset about? The article was neutral. It was reaching a little far - that they wear clothes to signify pro-natalist policies - but it didn't mock anyone's appearance.

I kind of love that everyone is turning on Big Ush. Liberals think her crashout today was insane (it was). Conservatives think her "I guess I just grew up in a stable home, so I don't need religion" comment was condescending to her husband (it was).

I said months ago she was very obviously not a nice woman and here we are.

Well, without the receipt, you wouldn't know that she buys XS, would you?

Oh snap!! 🔥🔥🔥

I wasn't joking. She clearly only posted that so we would see her size. The article made no mention of the cost of her clothes. There was no need to post the receipt.

She's a c-u-next-tuesday. I've said that for months. I went to a women's college. I'm very adept at sussing out when women are nice or not, and I could very quickly clock that she isn't. Melania I think prefers the company of women. Usha is very much a "I don't have women friends because they're too much drama" type. Meanwhile, she's the one causing the drama, as evidenced by melting down over a perfectly reasonable article.

I mean it definitely seems like JD Vance is a deeply unhappy guy who has been running from his childhood for a long time. He's a person of extraordinary capacity, so he runs really far. But you have to believe Usha isn't sure Catholicism will stick.

It is so weird to hear them talk about it though. He just seems so deeply disrespectful of her to me. I don't get how it can work.

Haven't read the book but the NYT reviewer (to be fair, NYT skews left so I'm not sure they were the target audience for a JD Vance book about becoming a tradcath) said it paints a picture of a deeply insecure man who has no idea who he is.

I actually saw a right winger on twitter say the bit between them on her podcast was awkward because you know damn well if he could do it over again he wouldn't marry Usha. He'd be married to a blue eyed blonde evangelical.

It was a stupid article that was beneath the New York Times. Liz Lange launched in 1998. It's not radical to wear a stretchy maternity dress.

Well don't count him out yet. There's definitely still time for him to switch.

Yes, how beneath the NYT to suggest that Usha Vance, mother of three, soon-to-be-four, is "modeling the idea...that one of the ways women can hold power is by being mothers."

How horrible. I now understand Usha's online tantrum. Thank you.
