| What the hell do I do to help her. There is 4 feet of snow in the yard and I dont want to get bitten. Poor squirrel. |
| oh that's terrible...I don't know... maybe use a broom or something to lightly try and give it a nudge and see if that will get him unstuck??? Maybe call animal control and see wha they suggest? |
|
He's a squirrel. He got himself into this. He'll figure it out. If not, he'll get the Darwin Award. Much like some of the people around here. |
|
Is there a way to pour warm (not hot) water onto the shed from a place where the water will run under her little feet to help her free up, but far enough that she won't bite you? Please keep us posted.
10:18, very mean and also not practical - I mean, if she doesn't get the squirrel free, who is going to clean up the nasty dead carcus? |
| Not to mention, who wants to watch the animal suffer and die slowly? Geez, that could give a person nightmares. |
|
I agree to call animal control. If they won't come at least they can offer advice as to what to do.
Ignore the idiot at 10:18. Anyone who would knowingly watch an animal (or person) suffer is unkind, to say the least. |

Shovel him out and get it overwith. |

Ironic people in this area seem to care more (on the whole) about animals than people. Did you SEE the grocery? |
| OP here, DH shoo-ed him/her off with a broom. I guess she was clinging to the side of the shed (which is wood) and her tail froze to the roof in the dripping ice/water. OMG, I felt really bad for her. She was facing down so she was basically hanging there nose down and another squirrel kept crawling up to her and kissing/running her nose. Poor little thing, but she's free now. |
|
OP, thank you so much for helping that poor animal.
To 10:35 and 10:18 - the difference is those people at "the grocery" are (generally) capable of helping themselves. I hope the next time you need help, someone chalks your situation up to your own stupidity and keeps on going. |
Glad to hear the happy ending. I have to admit that most times I do care more about animals than adult humans! As proven by a couple of comments from PPs, animals deserve our concern more! |
Grammar please. |
I second! |

" the difference is those people at "the grocery" are (generally) capable of helping themselves."
No they are not. Did you SEE them? |
I'm glad to hear he helped her. I haven't seen much wildlife at all the past few days. |
