People with a sweet tooth- what's your favorite?

Anonymous

I have a serious sweet tooth and always need a little something sweet after lunch or in the middle of the day. I'm also currently trying to lose 15-20 pounds.
What's your favorite sweet treat that doesn't sabotage your diet?

Here are some of my favorites:

-nonfat spiced chai tea and a small low fat scone

-greek yogurt popsicles

-any kind of soft serve frozen yogurt in a small portion

-low fat chocolate chip granola bars

Frothed milk with 10 dark chocolate chips with a scoop of collagen. DH bought a $100 frother, and I thought it was a frivolous purchase. It turns out that I use it daily. Warm milk is filling, and it helps me maintain healthy bones.

I like to eat 120 calorie bags of brownie brittle. They only sell them at certain Targets, so they can be a challenge to locate.

I like individually wrapped York peppermint patties. Satisfies my sweet tooth, but because it’s mint I don’t want to keep eating

trader joes brownie crisp coffee ice cream sandwich 140 calories and amazing!

Their 40 calorie cold brew latte pops are also very good

I make oatmeal with low-fat milk, and sprinkle some Lily’s chocolate chips on it - they melt in the oatmeal. Lily’s chocolate has stevia rather than sugar but it tastes really good. They have it at Whole Foods, and some of the larger Giants that have an organic section.

If you can limit the portion size, Trader Joe's dark chocolate sea salt almonds.

Here are my go tos when I need something sweet but don't want to have a calorie bomb:

-Greek yogurt with a spoonful of nutella mixed in OR a spoonful of lemon curd

-nice cream (frozen banana in food processor with spoonful of PB, can add few chocolate chips)

-Trader Joe's powerberries!

-look for healthy cookie recipes made w/ oats, PB, mashed banana - no flour or sugar

If I’m being stingy, a hard candy - a Jolly Rancher, Wethers or something like that.

If I am being more indulgent - an ice cream bar: Snickers(180), mini Magnum (140), or a Dove (240).

I got a Breville frother and have a matcha latte every morning made with oat milk. It froths better than Starbucks.

I usually go for a dairy free ice cream like halo top and if being decadent, put a little chocolate syrup on it.

Mandarin oranges like cuties or clementines.

I hate low calorie desserts. Yuck! I get the most decadent ice cream or chocolate bar and then have a small scoop or two bites.
