What is a good size of indoor trampoline for 2 kids (2 & 5 year old) to jump altogether with net around it? Is 55" good enough or too small.
It is for birthday present. |
Choose another gift. This is such a terrible present on so many levels that I have to assume you're at a loss for ideas. |
Yeah, for an indoor tramp that isn't intended to last years, that's fine. |
Children under 6 should not be on trampolines. Research first. |
I'd get this one:

For the love of pete. Do you even take a moment to think about what your reaction is or do you just go for it? OP is talking about the small, 12-inch off the ground tramps that are designed for little kids. |
DP but OP is talking about a 4.5' trampoline with a net around it, and specifically for 2 kids to jump together. That's 1) a physically huge thing to give someone ("Here's a present, hope you have an extra room to dedicate to its use"), 2) dangerous (kids are not supposed to jump on trampolines more than one at a time), and 3) still dangerous for little kids even if they're designed for them. Trampolines are bad for kids' bones. They're not bad for their bones if they're high in the air, and the danger is not that the kid will fall off of a high object. It's the trampoline in the first place that's the danger. I normally think "do some research" is a reductive and unhelpful thing to say in an online forum but seriously, there are so many times it comes up that trampolines are dangerous and people think the danger is mitigated by a net or a low height, that it's clear the actual danger posed by trampolines is not understood. |
I’m going to agree a little - two kids jumping together is how injuries happen. |
This is OP. I ask the mom about the older kid's birthday wish list, and she says trampoline. The older kid always jump on sofa & on his bed, so he requests a trampoline good for him & his brother with net in case they fall out. I don't think the younger one will jump on it all the time, so it will be mostly for the older one. And, he has adhd, I think jumping helps him to calm down anxieties & smooth out sensations.
I don't see any trampoline that is foldable with net, sturdy with good size. It will be great that someone has any ideas. |
