Antichrist and Biblical End Times

Anonymous
Does anyone else wonder about recent events, Trump, Covid-19, weather, mass deaths and wonder if we are in the Biblical end time? I am not religious now but was raised in church and wonder about it.

No. Everyone thinks their time is special. The black death, world wars, genocides, etc...many events through history.

Has a single decade passed where a sizable chunk of religious loonies didn’t think we were end times? I heard we were in end times in the 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s. My parents friends thought Bill Clinton was the literal antichrist. Too many bjs I guess

Agree. While I think these are pretty crappy times, and may well be the death knell of the American Empire, I don’t think it’s of biblical proportions.

+2 Every single generation thinks that theirs is the End Times.

I think this simultaneous pandemic and deaths, extreme weather, climate change and political division is far more extreme than anything in my lifetime or any previous time. Maybe we humans will cause our own extinction.

Could be. Also could not be. Don’t live in fear!

I don't think so, but it's entirely possible that Trump is the human manifestation of Satan.

I remember when Reagan was thought to be the anti Christ.

Events that must happen before Jesus returns: https://escapeallthesethings.com/2020-prophecies/

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived --2 TImothy 3:13

The bible has already laid out the sequence of events for the End Times. We are not quite there yet because we are not like the days of Noah when "GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

There is a lot of evil in the world but there is still a lot of good. Sadly, that light of goodness is growing dimmer as people fall away from the truth as revealed in the scriptures and turn to feel-good, ear-tickling theology in order to appear inclusive and tolerant, to appear as having a form of Godliness and goodness which they cannot have unless they have repented of all sins and turned to Jesus as the only way:

For there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. --Acts 4:12

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. --John 14:6

Jesus himself said he is the only way to God, not by doing good things, getting baptized into a church at birth, going to church, or feeling like you are a "good" person.

Climate Change? Okay I'll grant you that, but there have been little ice ages and ages of a much different climate it's just that humans didnt cause that.
Political Division? Are you kidding me? World Wars, wars between kings, etc. This is nothing.
Pandemics?? Smallpox, black death, etc.

From Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

9. Lord Voldemort: Harry! I’d almost forgotten you were here, standing on the bones of my father. I’d introduce you, but rumor has it you’re almost as famous as me these days.
From Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

8. Tom Marvolo Riddle: Surely you didn’t think I was going to keep my filthy Muggle father’s name? No. I fashioned myself a new name, a name I knew wizards everywhere would one day fear to speak, when I became the greatest sorcerer in the world!
From Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

7. Lord Voldemort: The Boy-Who-Lived. How lies have fed your legend, Harry! Do you want to know what really happened thirteen years ago? Shall I divulge how I truly lost my powers? It was love. You see, when dear sweet Lily Potter gave her life for her only son, it provided him with the ultimate protection, I could not touch him. It was old magic, something I should have foreseen. But no matter, no matter, things have changed. I CAN TOUCH YOU… NOW!
From Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

6. Lord Voldemort: I’m going to kill you, Harry Potter. I’m going to destroy you. After tonight, no one will ever again question my power. After tonight if they speak of you, they’ll only speak of how you begged for death. And how I being a merciful Lord… obliged.
From Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

5. Lord Voldemort: Don’t you turn your back on me, Harry Potter! I want you to look at me when I kill you! I want to see the light leave your eyes!
From Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

4. Lord Voldemort: You’re a fool, Harry Potter, and you will lose everything
From Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

3. Lord Voldemort: Avada Kedavra!
From Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

2. Tom Riddle: I can make things move without touching them. I can make animals do what I want without training them. I can make bad things happen to people who are mean to me. I can make them hurt, if I want…
From Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

1. Lord Voldemort: There is no good and evil. There is only power, and those too weak to seek it.
From Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

I'd always thought Satan would dress better.
