Christians in every generation think they are living in the “end of time”. Even the disciples thought they would see Jesus return. This world will eventually pass away. But we are eternal beings. We aren’t constrained by the physical world we have chosen to incarnate into. But no. This isn’t the end. We are barely beginning here on earth.

Hard to say but it feels like it. At the beginning of the year we had big fires in California and Australia. Then the economic decline with Covid. Now the deaths are spiraling upward with a mutated virus that's even more contagious. I even saw a Wall Street Journal article mentioning Amazon developing terminals to let consumers link credit card information to their hands (February 2020). These events are mentioned throughout the book of Revelation.

I think Trump is the anti-Christ and the other demons are the evangelists who are siding with him. Can you imagine that a man who admitted to sexually assaulting women was chosen President. Nope. Cicadas will not do harm and they will be a bumper food crop for animals and birds. However, if the cicadas do not emerge, it will mean that our soil is more compromised than we expected.

WHO has said that compared to the pathogens that will be unleashed on the world due to global warming this pandemic is basically a nothingburger.

The only demons for sure are associated with abortion. Nothing could be more opposite of good.

On a positive note for the rest of the world sick of US coups, wars, drones, bombing, this may be the beginning of the end of the US empire. Unfortunately China doesn’t seem to be any better - that being said it doesn’t go around bombing other countries so maybe it is better.

The bible has already laid out the sequence of events for the End Times. We are not quite there yet because we are not like the days of Noah when "GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

There is a lot of evil in the world but there is still a lot of good. Sadly, that light of goodness is growing dimmer as people fall away from the truth as revealed in the scriptures and turn to feel-good, ear-tickling theology in order to appear inclusive and tolerant, to appear as having a form of Godliness and goodness which they cannot have unless they have repented of all sins and turned to Jesus as the only way:

For there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. --Acts 4:12

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. --John 14:6

Jesus himself said he is the only way to God, not by doing good things, getting baptized into a church at birth, going to church, or feeling like you are a "good" person.

To the OP:

Good for you thinking about these issues. They are important. I think about them too but in a larger context. I don't believe the "end of time" to be tomorrow or even this year. I do, however, believe in Biblical prophecy particularly with regards to the Church at large. If you read Timothy II, it sure appears our culture would receive an A+ in living out prophecy.

The Church in the Last Days (2 Timothy 3:1-9)

But understand this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, opposed to what is good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, loving pleasure rather than loving God. They will maintain the outward appearance of religion but will have repudiated its power. So avoid people like these. For some of these insinuate themselves into households and captivate weak women who are overwhelmed with sins and led along by various passions. Such women are always seeking instruction, yet never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these people—who have warped minds and are disqualified in the faith—also oppose the truth. But they will not go much further, for their foolishness will be obvious to everyone, just like it was with Jannes and Jambres.
