| https://wtop.com/montgomery-county/2020/10/montgomery-co-calls-off-trick-or-treating-over-virus-concerns/. How will this be enforced? Assuming it us just a recommendation. 911...kids in costume are out in my neighborhood! |
| I was going to go, probably just to a few neighbors that we know. Now we will skip though and do something else. |
| I don't get it. Kids are outside, in masks. They stop by a door for 10 seconds at most. |
I mean does any of this nonsense make sense to you? Families have been vacationing and eating out for months. Kids still not in school. |
| I would assume many kids will not wear masks and many people giving out the candy will also not wear masks due to outdoor/short nature of the interaction. |
|
Why can't I leave a bowl with candy outside my door? That would be perfectly acceptable, but opening doors and all, I can see that being too much.
|
| Would a "no mask no candy" sign be ok? Maybe kids would ignore? |
You can do that, but I doubt many will be comfortable with a community candy bowl. |
| Halloween is my favorite holiday, but we're skipping the T or T this year and we're not giving out candy, either. |
Dr. Gayles has no legal authority to issue an anti-trick-or-treating directive. This is a massive overreach and people need to stop submitting to this stuff. |
| This is another political damned if you do, damned if you don't thing. If they had said yes to trick or treating people would complain, not hat they have said no people will complain. At least they took a stance early and are allowing people to adjust. Good call by the county. |
| This was a ridiculous call. Gayles can suck it. |
That's not trick-or-treating, that's a candy pod. |
| Good call. +1 to MoCo. |
| This article is so misleading. Come on liberal media - we can do better than this. Gayles issues a recommendation. We still plan to trick or treat and offer contactless candy at our house. |
