| Some theories include some swing state GOP bailing out now so as to get out from the McConnell/Trump stink and be reinvented for the Lincoln Party. The theory is that they will peel away from this Supreme Court nomination and any BS related to the election Trump and Barr may try to pull. |

Interesting. Toomey is on record as saying that he supported the appointment and installation of Amy COVID Barrett - even though it violates the McConnell Rule. Is he going to vote no? |

He’s not up for election till 2022. It makes no sense to announce this now. He’s trying to get in front of something. I think the PP correct. He’s hoping to rebrand. Nope, not happening. PA may still go Red this election but not next. |

That seems to be the working hypothesis. That the Lincoln Project will absorb the RVAT and become the basis of a new center-right political party, given the Republican Party 1) won't be viable post-Trump and 2) won't have Russia to support it financially anymore. |
