If your daughter has spent years perfecting her sport and a boy suddenly decides he’s a girl and takes her medals, scholarships, and recognition, you shouldn’t be mad. His feelings and mental health are far more important than hers

1000% . As a former athlete, I watched how hard my much-more-gifted teammates worked, and to have seen them lose to a boy would have just shattered me. These boys are allowed to TAKE from those girls, pure and simple. And the coaches let it happen! DO BETTER!

And the female prisoners forced to share showers and cells with often-violent men who identify as women? Who will stand up for them? DO BETTER!

I disagree. I think the madness got this bad because too many people ignored it.
It is not just about words or language that don’t really affect us.
It is not about respect, or love, or kindness.
It’s 100% bullying, anti-science BS that puts women last.

Jen shared in detail about the other four as each graduated, exactly what they were committed to for next plans. She was kind about Remy but only commented on her making it through high school. Perhaps Jen will not be empty nesting after all? She has had one foot out the parenting door most of Remy’s high school years anyhow. It’s harder to parent when you’re doing so long distance from a hotel room with your boyfriend.

Whoever said she should sell her home and downsize is crazy. It’s a super cool and beautiful property and a great location, probably long paid off by now too. The house is her best asset.

Remy is most likely staying, although I wonder if Brandon and Tina would let her live with them and take classes.
I have a (former) niece who sounded a bit like Jen's description of Remy (super-inquisitive, etc) and you needed to get regular breaks from her- it was exhausting.

I made the original post about Sarah Goodfellow's daughter Riley, and I am definitely not in Jen's camp. It was more to examine the lives of these children (now young adults) who grew up under the microscope of mom-blogs. The gals in Jen's internet bestie circle have children and some have sad stories (Jamie Wright's son died by suicide while she was visiting Jen in TX). Having to address the worst possible event in your life as a mom, on a public forum, is just dreadful.

Jen’s kids seem to love and respect her and apart from the usual shenanigans seem to be doing just fine. And no I'm not a Jen fan in the slightest. For this she and Brandon should be commended.

My issues with Jen are around her gross predatory exploitation of vulnerable women in the guise of “service” to her “tribe”. She’s a prime example of the worst of late stage capitalism which is ironic given how much she is desperate to pose as one of the “good guys”. Far from it. Absolutely gross and corrosive.

My issues with Jen include how she can't come clean about an obvious tummy tuck, and how she was on an actual panel about body positivity after she posted a snarky caption about her fat seatmate. To thousands of people. Did anyone enlighten Oprah to this? Does Oprah even have much of an audience anymore?

Bessey is the same; all this authenticity and genuine-ness but she can't own up to getting big help to lose a huge amount of weight.

I didn’t even know Oprah had an audience anymore. I’m not a huge tv watcher, mostly streaming shows on different platforms. I read a lot of different publications both print and online. I only occasionally hear mention of Oprah endorsing a book or being brought in for a one-time TV special as an interview host. If she still does anything regular on screen or in writing or via social media, I’m totally clueless to it. I think I would be in her prime target audience based on my age and interests. I honestly thought she was doing the weight talk thing as a paid endorsement celebrity guest. Her PR person is missing the boat if Oprah still has a current gig. And I assume Jen does her own PR?

I too thought Oprah long retired. How do Jenn and Sarah claim to have lost weight?
