Makes sense. And I agree, that statement was harsh.
This is terrible for Blake. Either she is proven a liar once again, or she did in fact use Taylor to pressure people. Either way, she looks bad. Blake should just settle this mess. |
There’s also a new daily mail article clarifying that Taylor does in fact blame Blake for dragging her into this and not Justin. |
Yes, I saw that, not a good look, and it might explain why the pro Blake lively poster(s) on here (who sometimes claim they’re not pro BL) are off trying to get this thread shut down again. Check out website feedback. They are relentless in reporting posts and fabricating reasons to Jeff that this thread should be shut down, and Jeff obviously doesn’t have time to sort through it all. Just a word to the wise. I’m not sure how to handle other than trying to defend what this thread is about. Of course it veers off to chatter and gossip occasionally- this is a celebrity thread after all- but there is nothing wrong with that, and it’s not like all the other threads on Celebrity don’t also include normal gossipy chatter. |
^ sorry, meant Entertainment and Pop Culture. |
Trying to get the thread shut down is similar to muting creators talking about Vanzan. It’s a shame when you think about it. |
PP. anyone have any updates on this? Or the NYT’s position in all this? |
The work of Nick Shapiro. |
PP, who is that? I follow this case but not all that closely… |
Yeah, I don't think Jeff cares about the gossip either. The best way to keep the thread going is for people to just stay on the topic of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni (legal stuff or gossip) without insulting other posters and the "boards on boards" stuff where each side accuses the other of being bots or the same posters replying to themselves. |
Haven't been to this thread in days but I saw the DM reported Justin made a mother's day post with open comments. When I went to it, wow, much support in those comments, I almost teared up. Alot of celebrities in those comments as well. I thank God people have his back. |
She should be sacked for running point on this. Talentless hack who has cost the NYT dearly; not just legal fees, but the perception and trustworthiness of the entire newsroom and investigative bureau. This fake snipe has done permanent harm to the newsroom. And it makes you wonder how many other fake snipes has the NYT ran point on? |
Nick Shapiro is the ex cia agent that Lively hired. |
Noted. Fwiw Jeff locked the website feedback thread on BL. I guess he’s tired of the feedback. |
I think she just wanted this to have a metoo angle so she set aside her journalistic instincts to get this story and was played by BL. She/lawyers of NYT probably convinced themselves fair report would protect them. I am one of the few on here who think it won’t, but of course we shall see… |
How do we know this? |
