They will hide and run the clock as long as it is allowed.

They've already run that clock long enough that the chances that anyone will be able to come forward with information are super low.

Exactly. The email from GDS was a thinly vieled threat. How can the Atlantic continue to promote this HOS when he makes claims in the media that are objectively false?

The Atlantic promotes the HOS? How?

They publish his essays all the time.

Then maybe post it. Keep in mind that

1) The police were contacted by the family
2) The school reported the event after they were informed to the police and CPS, as required by law
3) The school followed the police departments instruction to not discuss the event until the investigation was completed
4) The school hired a private firm to investigate.
5) The Epstein files had not been released so this notion that they chose a poor firm because it was connected to Epstein is a bit ludicrous.
6) The police conducted their investigation and said that there was not enough evidence to proceed

So, outside of the things that the school did do, what should they have done?

Read the thread, many posts on this point.

Really? Because the ones I have read all say that they should do one of the or more of the above steps, which were already done. The most recent complaint is that the school used a firm that was tied to Epstein, which the school would nothave known about when they hired them. Not to mention, so many major firms and individuals can be tied to Epstein they might need to ask someone to start a new business in order to avoid that connection.

If you don’t have a kid at GDS, I’m not sure why you care so much about how the school responds to a particular issue. I have multiple kids at the school and while I think the school could I’ve been more transparent in their handling the issue, ultimately I know enough about the situation to feel completely confident that the investigation done was sufficient and kids are not at risk.

Why not push GDS to do better?

How can this person be so sick and twisted to suggest that an Epstein private investigation firm with a history of conduct that's potentially criminal did an adequate investigation?

Epstein's brother hired them to investigate email threats he was getting.

They were the right people to hire if the allegation was false and the wrong people to hire if it was true.

Since there are some misinformed GDS defenders in this thread, when it comes to T&M, even LONG before the Epstein files, T&M was:

1. Sanctioned by the US government in 2020 for flagrant misrepresentations and cover up of those mis-representations and on a 20 year (!!!!) consent decree - look it up / google it: FTC vs. T&M Protection Resources, LLC

2. Known to be co-owned with same common owner as its Israeli counterpart who runs the Gaza gates and security for Israeli settlers https://www.whoprofits.org/companies/company/3893?tm-protection-resources-holdings-israel

These things were known LONG before Epstein files. GDS simply had to use this crazy tool call Google before they hired a firm like this.

So what is this malicious disregard of these facts or utter f'ing incompetence by the administration and the board. Sadly both.

Even without Epstein connections to T&M, a simple google search would have found these two things about T&M and should have been disqualifying.

There are many investigators who do this work around the country, yet GDS chose to use this one.

Yeah but sexual assault of a minor is a bit too close to home don't you think? Jeeze.

Or how about this case from the EEOC related to T&M where a supervisor used the n word to refer to employees https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/migrated_files/eeoc/litigation/briefs/tmprotection.html

And T&M is the group to hire when a school wants to bury bad stuff....here's but one example - rampant child sex abuse at Yeshiva High School in NY - all findable on google

The Israel connection seems like a plus for the folks at GDS.

I have a strong strong feeling that this will become a part of a larger media story.

The FTC case was about T&M letting a EU data privacy certification lapse but claiming they had it. It’s a paperwork / compliance issue. It has nothing to do with the quality of their investigative work or anything relevant to the GDS situation.

No. I wouldn’t defend them. Neither would I defend a school if there was evidence that a child was raped and they were covering up. But there is no evidence of either, so I’m not going to light my hair on fire.
